The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services towards the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering companies such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency stated it can be alarmed in regards to the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area on a daily basis. The provider level made for intervention experiences a large inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it tough with the Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service read more point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more means to enable the servicing of all consumers and raise usage of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
